Detailed Description

A folded sheet metal part is specified. Establishing a datum system (using datum targets in V2) is compared in 2 different variants and typical features such as hole patterns are described. To meet the typical (product specific) requirements of bending sheet metal components, a „floating pattern“ tolerance is used.

The correct specification of the folded areas is derived and shown in 2 different variants.
The classic tolerancing approach using angle specifications and a geometric description using profile tolerances is compared.

An ISO GPS compliant specification of bending radii is shown.
