Who is behind GPS Practice?

My Name is Marcus Grella and I am a trained tool maker with a deep passion for technology, standardization and precision. My professional journey began in 1998 with my degree as a tool-maker, followed by extensive experience in the classical machining, in which I had first points of contact with the CAD and CAM systems.

After my training as a mechanical engineer in the year 2006, I worked until 2012 as a designer and was able to deepen my skills in the development of technical solutions. Then I was up in 2019, as the head of design in a plastics manufacturing company, where I had to deal intensively with the drawing and feasibility analyses, as well as the highly complex measurement techniques (CT, CMM, optical verification). This is where my passion for standardization, in particular for ISO GPS (ISO 8015) and ASME Y14 began.5.

In 2017, I found my way Steinbeis Consulting Center Construction. Materials. Standardisation, where I first worked as a Trainer. This next activity was a true calling, so I decided in January of 2019, my Knowledge on a freelance base. Today, I support companies in the world with training, consultations, Workshops, and expertise (expert opinion).

For the past 7 years I have supported many companies, both in the teaching of basic skills, as well as active with the introduction of the ISO GPS standard system – and the challenges that go with it. Whether it’s the description of the requirements of a welded structure with dimensions of several meters, simple or highly complex milling and turning parts, micro-injection moulding components, elastic synthetic fabrics, or the world of punched, thermally cut, and then bent sheet-metal processing – and, of course, combinations of these: The ISO GPS provides a comprehensive tool box for each category of the right solutions!

Thanks to my many years of experience in design, manufacturing and Metrology, as well as my in-depth knowledge of the normative rule works, I help my clients to cope with complex technical requirements and optimize your processes.

With this Website I want to share my professional journey and share my Knowledge with a broad Community of technology enthusiasts and professionals to share.
